#Rivers edge pigeon forge full#
This campground stays pretty full throughout the year. You will have make reservations well in advance to be able to pick your preferred location. Overall, I highly recommend this campground. If you not so skilled, you must may want to arrive right at check in to minimize the obstacles. If you are skilled at backing your unit, it could be a challenge, but certainly doable to get into your site. The campground was at capacity and late arrivers could fine it somewhat difficult to navigate the width of the road with vehicles parked on both sides. it would not be a very hard fix to make them all ground level. I did notice throughout the campground the height of the sewer intake did vary from being even with ground level to being even higher than mine. I found this to be very aggravating and kept my rating below the coveted five stars. This meant "hand walking" the hose numerous times to empty my black and gray water tanks. The sewer intake was several inches above ground so my flow was slightly uphill and we all know what does NOT flow uphill. Unfortunately, mine is at the back of my unit so multiple hoses were needed. If your RV has the sewer connection more toward the middle of the unit, then you should be fine. It was more towards the upper middle of the site, which meant two sections of sewer hose was needed to make the connection. The "con" on the site was the sewer hookup. It was very close to the back of the site so no long cords needed. I especially liked that the electrical panel included the water and cable hookup at this one neat location that also included a night light for those after hour issue, if there were any. The site was graveled, level, and included a concrete pad with a very heavy steel picnic table. Discounts are given at check in for various groups such as AAA, Good Sam, etc.

Rates: I thought the rate was reasonable for the location (we did have a riverside site). All "pro" comments for this particular point. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Office/Staff: The office was nice and well stocked with various goods and sundries and camping supplies. We just happen to stay during a "hotrod" event and between the hot rods and Harley's racing on take off from the traffic signal, the incredible racket from those exhausts took a bit to get used to. If traffic bothers you, then perhaps a riverside campsite is not for you. The "con" is it is does sit right beside the parkway at the first traffic signal coming into Pigeon Forge from the Gatlinburg area. Location: Located on the cusp of the Smoky Mountain National Park paralleling the parkway and Pigeon River at the entrance of Pigeon Forge, this RV park is perfectly located to access all that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area has to offer just starts the "pros" of this location.

I'm going to write this review a little differently than I usually do so let's see how it goes. My wife and I have wanted to stay at this RV park for quite some time and finally got the opportunity to do so recently.
